The once peaceful Nkerehi/Umuchukwu community of Orumba South council area of Anambra state has now been thrown into deep crisis, bickering and subterfuge over an alleged overly ambition of one Dr Godwin Madukaji.
Dr Madukaji, a very rich United States of America, USA, based health expert, according to report want to seize and share the community among his siblings.
That so far, contrary to his initial celebrated public declaration in 2014 shortly after the last rites of their late traditional ruler, Igwe MN Ukegbu, that none of his family members would contest for the stool or the President General of the community; he now made a 360 degrees turnaround.
So far, he ha muscled the community to change name, unilaterally imposed his younger brother Kenneth as the traditional rule and another as the PG, while ran election to become governor but failed woefully!
Attempts to obtain his reaction was rebuffed while Kenneth said he was not in town presently. More so it was for him(Kenneth) to respond to reports that he was alleged to have gone to town that his certificate of recognition as traditional ruler by Gov Chukwuma Soludo was just a matter of days as he has settled the Hon Commissioner with a princely sum of N50m.
The sister who lives in nearby Enugu declined comment too. Investigation discovered that she has been having a running battle with the medical expert who has been acting a tyrannical emperor who want the jugular of the community. An unconfirmed report alleged that the bone of contention between the light-skinned housewife and the emperor was financial malfeasance where about three billion naira being part of the last governorship bazaar was found to have been found siphoned and sitting pretty in one of her bank accounts.
The seeming replication of the plotting and distribution of continental Europe among his brothers, sisters, in-laws and relations by the all-conquering Napoleon Bonaparte during the early part of the century, close watchers noted, would be a major test case for Soludo as the Anambra state governor.
