IG’s Police Family Welfare Insurance Scheme: Anambra State CP Presents Multi-Million Naira Cheques to Beneficiaries

Anambra state Police Commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng, has presented cheques worth Nine million, One Hundred Thousand Naira, N9,100,000, to fifteen, 15, families of deceased Police officers attached to the Command.

The presentation of the cheques, carried out on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali, psc (+), fdc, NPM, took place place on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

CP Echeng who described the IG’s gesture as an initiative aimed at giving succour to the family of Police officers who paid the Supreme prize in active service, added that it is also meant to spur officers to greatness while discharging their statutory duties. According to him, their welfare is of paramount importance to the administration of the Force.

CP Echeng disclosed that the state command has received similar cheques from the IG and disbursed same to beneficiaries in the last three months. He urged the beneficiaries to use the money wisely by investing in a profitable venture that will go a long way in ameliorating the needs of the dependents left behind.

CP Echeng was full of gratitude to the IG for his relentless efforts towards ensuring good welfare package for personnel of the force, assuring him that officers and men of the Command will continue to put in their best to ensure peace, security and safety of Anambra state.

The families thanked the IG for the gesture and pledged to make good use of the money.
