Another Chibok Girl Found

Over eight years after about 300 girls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from the Government Girls Secondary School, GGSS Chibok, Borno state in 2014, Nigerian Army troops on patrol in Ngoshe area of the state have found a woman, suspected to be one of the girls.

Mrs Mary Ngoshe, as she is named, was carrying a baby, purported to be her child, was intercepted on Saturday, June 14, 2022, by troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade on a regular patrol tour around Ngoshe.

“She is believed to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok in 2014. Further exploitation ongoing, the Army said in the statement without giving further explanation,” army statement read in part.
