Covid-19: Queen Elizabeth Tests Positive


BRITISH monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, has tested positive to Covid-19, World Agence France-Press reports.

The development is coming after his eldest son, Prince Charles, who is heir to the throne, also tested positive barely 48 hours after meeting the monarch.

According to the reports, the monarch who was diagnosed on Sunday, has mild symptoms hence she would keep a light duty profile at her Windsor Castle residence, aides said.


Though no information is available on when she took Covid test, the 95 year-old monarch, who recently marked seven decades on the throne, is said to have resumed what is described as ‘in-person audiences’ even having previously complained of stiffness.

Buckingham Palace confirm that the queen has today tested positive for Covid.

Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.

She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” a statement from the palace said.
