Midnight Bandit Attack in Kagara


Confirmed reports from Kagara, indicate that tens of motor cycle-riding bandits attacked the transit town in Rafi council area of Niger state, around midnight of Saturday, January 22.


The bandits were said to have launched the attack on the town via the Sabon Gari, state low-cost housing axis. However, they were repelled by the proactive action of officers and men of the Nigerian Army present in Kagara. They successfully drove off the attackers after a fiery gun duel.


But the bandits proceeded to nearby Makangara village where they killed one person and kidnapped 10 persons.
