Zamfara Police Arrest Woman Amourer for Bandits

THE Zamfara State Police command has nabbed a 30-year-old woman, Fatima Lawali, described as armourer for notorious bandits operating in some Zamfara forests.
Lawali, who was arrested at Gada Biyu area, Bungudu council area of the state was found with 991 ammunitions which she was allegedly conveying to the camp of a notorious bandit leader, identified as Ado Alero, who has been on security agents’ wanted list.

Fatima, an indigene of Kaura Namuda, is said to specialise in supplying arms and ammunition to hoodlums operating within the northwestern states.

Zamfara state police commissioner, Ayuba Elkanah, who briefed the media on Friday, disclosed that police tactical operatives, in collaboration with FIB/STS, arrested Lawali at about 9:30pm on Thursday, October 25, adding that upon interrogation, she confessed to the crime. Her confession.
