Hon ibezim, a recent decampee from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, representing Idemmili North and South LGAs in the House of Representatives, was reportedly arrested by the Nigerian security forces at his country home on election day.
Unconfirmed reports also say he reportedly “snatched and/or commandeered a significant number of ballot boxes along with associated sensitive electoral materials to his country home.”
The materials, 2n-network learnt, are meant for Abatete community but were intercepted and diverted to Hon Ibezim’s home, a private polling booth of some sort. Our source also disclosed that voting materials for other nearby communities were also commandeered and redirected to his home.
Acting on credible intelligence, security joint task force stormed his home and arrested him. 2n-network.com cannot independently confirm if the said materials were found in his home during the operation. In addition, there is no information on whether or not he is still being detained as alleged.
