Unfolding news have it that a looming danger may be unfolding around the Ikeja axis of Lagos state as a gas has been broken by construction workers using heavy duty equipment.
Reports monitored from online news medium, The Gazelle News.com, have it that the burst directly or indirectly put residents around the Computer Village, Ikeja Under Bridge, Awolowo Way, Oba Akran and Anifowose areas at risk.
According to reports, one of the heavy duty caterpillars ruptured the affected gas pipeline while excavating a part of the area resulting in gas spewing out.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Authority, NEMA, has already issued a statement warning residents of the affected areas not to open shops or use open naked fire in order not to ignite an explosion in the area.
Emergency workers have been deployed to the affected area to prevent any unfortunate incident.
