*Police Commissioner Orders Uninterrupted Security Patrols Around FCT Schools

THE staff quarters of the University of Abuja was last night invaded by armed men suspected to be bandits.

In the aftermath, the raiders reportedly abducted four members of staff and an unconfirmed number of minors.
Though details are still scanty, multiple sources say the attack took place at about 1am on Tuesday morning at the Giri area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Following the attack, both the police and the university’s internal security network have beefed up surveillance in and around the campus with security operatives said to have been mobilized and in hot rescue pursuit.

Security patrols have also been mobilized to provide uninterrupted surveillance around all schools in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
