THE Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, is oweing Super Eagles tactician, Gernot Rohr, eight months of unpaid salaries. Reportedly paid $45,000 in Naira equivalent, out of which he pays the team goal keeper trainers, fitness trainers, chief scout and video analyst, Rohr has not received any of his monthly payment since he got his last cheque in February, reports say.
Within the same period, his backroom staff, including those mentioned above, are yet to receive their Cape Verde winning bonuses, a development that is already causing disaffection among the technical crew.
“I don’t want to talk about that.
“We have a game to focus on and we hope that it will be sorted out after the games against Central African Republic,” one of the affected persons volunteered.
The Super Eagles will file out in a Qatar 2022 qualification match against Les Fauves of the Central African Republic, CAR, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, on Thursday.
