Old Trafford is On Fire, Online Stores, Agog…

*As Frenzied Scramble for Ronaldo’s Shirt No 7 Begins

*Rush Smashes Record Sales

Less than four hours after the release of Ronaldo’s shirt number 7 hit United’s sales out, a frenzy demand went off as both the club and player’s fans besieged both online and Old Trafford for a replica.
The rush, according to Sky Sport, has since broken the Red Devil’s shirt sales record amidst frenzied social media buzz.
United’s official retail partner, Fanatics, claims Ronaldo’s shirt sales hit record figures within the first hour alone, relegating the store’s best full day global sales for the club’s online store.
Although no figure was named, Fanatics disclosed that the Portuguese star became the network’s biggest selling player within the 24 hours his transfer was announced, shoving aside previous sales recorded by Lionel Messi of PSG, Tom Brady of Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Lebro James of LA Lakers.
United’s fans have not only be drowning online stores with the demand for Ronaldo’s number 7 jersey. They have also been clogging Old Trafford itself to physical get a grab on the prized replica shirt.
Ronaldo is currently undergoing isolation but will make his second Old Trafford debut against Newcastle on Saturday.
