*36 Persons Burnt Alive, Many Houses Razed

Reports coming in from Jos, the Plateau state capital, have it that 36 persons have been killed by armed invaders suspected to be Fulani militias.
The attackers, who laid siege on Yelwan Zangam, Naraguta village, Jos North council area, in the early hours of Wednesday, unleashed mayhem on the community, setting many houses ablaze, alongside their occupants, most of whom were burnt beyond recognition.
Charred remains of the victims, said to be mostly mostly women, children and aged, butchered while asleep, have been deposited at the Jos Teaching Hospital.
A community source told this medium that the marauders took advantage of the ongoing 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government to unleash the attack the community during which they shot at anyone within sight.
‘We have recovered 36 corpses of people who were killed by the Fulani. Most of the corpses were burnt beyond recognition,’ he said.
