Finally, Messi Joins PSG

*Grabs A 2-Year Deal, 1-Yea Extension Clause

Argentine football whiz, Lionel Messi, has agreed terms with French super side, Paris Saint Germaine, better known as PSG. With the agreement, the 34 year-old meastro has formally joined the team as a playeer on a two-year deal worth £25m a year plus bonuses. The deal also comes with an option of a third year and a £25m sign-on fee.
Messi’s romance with Barcelona came to an unexpected end after the club ran short of Spanish LaLiga’s financial fair-play rules even though it agreed earlier to a 50% pay cut on a new deal.
Barcelona hasn’t exactly been playing fair with the mercurial Argentine, having lost his rewarding decades long services. Shortly after a press conference in which the star emotionally put to rest speculations over his next move, the club pulled down his image on the side of its stadium.

Not long afterwards, the player’s lawyer, Juan Branco, filed a complaint with the Paris Court of Appeal, alleging that Barcelona has made an an attempt to block PSG from signing the player over possible violation and non-compliance with Financial Fair Play rules.
However, from a tearful farewell to his horde of Nou Camp supporters, Messi is sure to have even more adoring fans in Parc des Princes.

Already, fans are reported to be massing up awaiting their newest football idol in the city of light. Combined with Neymar and Mbappe, they are sure going to have many more reasons to have him in the Parc des Princes in the next two years.
