We Will Restore Peace in Plateau-Gov Lalong

Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong, disclosed that his adminstration is set to do everything possible to ensure that the state reclaims its place as the home of peace and security in the country. Governor Lalong made the disclosure in Jos on Sunday while speaking at the dedication of four books written by the President of Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, Rev Dachollom Datiri.
Governor Lalong, who spoke in the aftermath of the Invasion of some communities in Bassa local government area of the state, noted that his happiest moment would come when peace returns to entire Plateau state. While assuring that his administration will engage all stakeholders with a view to addressing the matter, he emphasized that peace will return soon as the attack on innocent citizens is not only unfortunate but also unacceptable.
Obviously saddened by the invasuon that resulted in the death of over 40 persons and wanton destruction of property, Governor Lalong emmpathizes with those affected communities, noting that his administration is working to ensure the return of lasting peace. He however, urged the people to be vigilant while ensuring that they collaborate with security operatives and government towards ending insecurity in the state .
“I sympathize with communities in Bassa ,Riyom and other councils which was recently attacked. It is sad. We are working to ensure that lasting peace is restored in Plateau,” he assured.
Barely a week ago, unknown Gunmen invaded a number of communities in both Bassa and Riyom Local government areas of the state and left tens of persins dead. They also left properties worth millions of naira in ruins.
