*Number of Cars also Nibbed
The Lagos state House of Assembly on Thursday, disclosed that it has reduced the pension of formers of the state by half. The assembly made the declaration o Thursday, noting that the action became imperative sequel to the adoption of a report by the House Committee on Establishment, which made the recommendation.
According to the statement, the report by the committee also removed the provision of houses in Abuja and Lagos for ex-governors as stipulated in a previous law of the state,adfing that the number of vehicles for both the ex-governors and their deputies also went down numerically.
Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, made the point that instead of three vehicles, each should get two-a car and a van. According to him in the amended bill, the cars should be changed every four years instead of the three years recommended by the report.
