*Prepares New Charges
*To Order His Arrest
More troubles appear to be heading the direction of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat, as the Kaduna state government has filed new cases against him while also seeking an order for his arrest.
This is coming barely two days after a Kaduna high court, presided over by Justice Gideon Kurada, upheld their no-case submission and subsequently discharged and acquitted both of all charges preferred against them by the state.
Making the disclosure on Friday, state director of public prosecution, Mr.Dari Bayero, noted that the state disagrees with the position of the High Court hence the need for the new charges which border on terrorism and treasonable felony.
“We are going to appeal. There is no doubt about it. In fact, we have obtained the court judgment because we are not in agreement with my Lord’s reasoning and conclusion. It is not in consonance with the facts on the ground.” he said.
Dari, who said they disclosed that the state would also issue an order for El-Zakzaki’s arrest in order for him to answer the new charges, revealed that some of the actions of the Shiite leader upon which he is being charged with fresh allegations predated 2015.
