The immediate past national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has described the Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle, as a man of courage and conscience. The former party boss made the declaration in Abuja on Friday while welcoming the governor who recently decamped to the APC from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the former Edo state governor, Matawalle’s decision to join the APC is worthy of being celebrated as it is because it takes a man of courage and conscience to take the long awaited decision with all its far reaching implications.
“I have for long looked forward to this day when you will reunite with the APC, your original party, so that the good works and impressive performance which the people of Zamfara state enjoy under your administration will be accurately documented as legacies of APC.
It takes a man of courage, conscience, principles and honor to make this long awaited move which not many politicians in our clime would have the audacity to undertake,” Oshiomhole said while affirming his belief that all APC stakeholders in both the state and national levels will welcome the governor with open arms and respect which he rightly deserves.
