Senator Ajimobo In Coma, COVID-19 Fingered

Senator Isiaka Ajimobi, immediate past Governor of Oyo State, is in coma, 2n-Network reports monitor in Benin City have it that Sen Ajimobi, who has been been taken to the Lagos-based First Cardiologist, a highbrow medical facility, was diagnose of the dreaded Corona virus over two week ago. Family sources disclosed that the former governor went into coma on June 8 prompting doctors to rev up his survival the battle since then.
2n-Network learnt that Sen Ajimobi’s condition relapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest prompting medical staff to shift him over to the intensive care unit where he was placed on a ventilator with his doctors recommending a particular drug that is said to be available only in the UK, a reason for which a dispatch has been sent to obtain same.
2n-Network also gathered that the former governor had to be placed on a ventilator the second time as his condition failed to improve while everyone is hoping he recovers. According to family source,
“Although, he is alive, he has been in coma since he was placed in the second ICU. “
The former governor, a serving senator, is the deputy national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). Aside the cardiac complication that worsened his health condition, Sen Ajimobi is said to also be a diabetic patient, a combustible element that makes Corona virus a lethal health challenge. He was said to have taken Ill in Abuja late May 2020 shortly after attending an alleged political meetings with his party chieftains.
It will be recalled that former chief of staff to the Nigerian President, Mallam Abba Kyari, died at the First Cardiologist hospital after suffering a near similar complication.
